By Augustine Mumbere,
Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, the Bishop South Rwenzori Diocese, has advised parents to balance work and parenting.
According to him many children met claim their challenges begin much earlier in life, but there is no one to listen and advise them.
In his sermon during the holy Matrimonial service of Prince Hillary Kibanzanga and his wife Hilda Karungi, held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kasese town on Saturday, the prelate blamed parents for spending most of their time at work and neglecting to talk to their children about their experiences at school and home, leading the children to keep their problems to themselves.
Bishop Nason, noted that some parents have even resorted seeking for “Kyeyo” abroad, leaving children in the care of relatives and friends, a vice he attributes to poor parenting. Bishop Nason speaking…..
Mr. Davis Lewis Rubongoya, the Secretary General of National Unity Platform-NUP, advised the couple at their reception held at Rwenzori International Hotel in Kasese town, to become compassionate, humble and peace ambassador. END
