Rt. Rev. Nason Baluku, the Bishop of South Rwenzori Diocese, has encouraged learners to set clear goals in order to thrive in their educational journey.
The Bishop made the remarks yesterday during a confirmation and dedication service for Senior Four and Senior Six candidates ahead of the UNEB examinations at Bwera Secondary School in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese district.
He emphasized that setting personal goals provides learners with direction and motivation, which are essential for achieving academic success.

The Prelate also called for a united effort in addressing issues such as teenage pregnancies, early marriages, and drug abuse challenges he described as “cancer” affecting the future of young people.
Mr. Yokonia Bwambale, the Head Teacher of Bwera Secondary School, informed the Bishop that the school urgently needs a multipurpose hall and additional classrooms to accommodate the growing number of learners.

Mr. Stephen Mujuni, the Local Council One Chairperson of Kaserengethe Cell in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha Town Council, expressed gratitude to the Government of Uganda for its continued support to schools. A total of 257 candidates in Senior Four and 168 in Senior Six are preparing for the national examinations. Additionally, 67 students were confirmed into the Anglican Church during the service. END
