The Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has argued the public against poaching, theft and luxurious expenditures before and during the Xmas festival season, saying such put their future at stake.
In his Homily while presiding over Holy Mass at St. Maria Gorret Kinyamaseke Roman Catholic Church in Bukangara Parish where he confirmed 480 Christians into the Catholic Church and opened the church as a Eucharistic centre yesterday, Bishop Kibira who wished Merry Xmas to the Christians, asked them to spend within their means so as to save for the education of their children.
He was also concerned that many children were orphans and some women widows over men who turned poaching, an illegal and risky act, a source of livelihood. Bishop Kibira speaking1..….
The Ordinary who asked Christians to be what he called conveners for Christ, announced plans to meet the Superiors of the religious congregations in the diocese of Kasese for a possibility of sending Novices for a six months training at the Catechetical center for catechism before professing their first vows as means to perfect their formation. Meanwhile, Mr. Geoffrey Masereka, the head teacher for Holy Dave Vocational school, welcome the Eucharistic center, saying it will not only add value to the learners and community but has a positive impact to the entire school that plans to open an Advanced Level come 2025 now that the ministry of education and sports has approved the development.
