The Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese Rt.Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale has threatened to sue Kasese Municipality for allegedly rounding up and impounding ten cows belonging to the Diocese of Kasese.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio today at the Bishops residence in Kasese town, Kibira said despite the Municipal authority releasing the cows freely to the Diocese this morning, he is not satisfied about the procedure used by law enforcement officers to trespass and impound animals grazing in the Diocesan land.
According to him, several Christians have flocked his office, complaining about unethical rounding and impounding of Animals by enforcement officers to earn money.
Now, Bishop Kibira says he will write to the President and attorney general of Uganda, requesting the legal interpretation of the law that authorizes enforcement officers to impound cows grazing on the fenced catholic land. Bishop Kibira speaking….
