The Bishop of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira has encouraged Believers in Christ to seek God`s mercy and forgiveness through Prayers, fasting and giving alms during the forty days of Lenten season as a way of renewing their relationship with God.

Presiding over a homily during the first Mass at our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Parish Church to mark the beginning of Lenten season, Bishop Kibira asked Xtians to dedicate this Lenten season to the suffering of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection by being prayerful, fasting and giving alms. Bishop Kibira speaking 1 ……

Bishop Kibira said receiving ashes makes the beginning of the journey of conversion and repentance, as well as returning to the loving father by denouncing sin. Bishop Kibira speaking2 ……..

In Bukangara Parish, the Curate, Fr. Peter Basaliza separately reminded Xtians of their Ash form but made who they are by the blood of Christ that purifies them should they repent their sins. Fr. Peter speaking…..

At Kahokya Catholic Church, the Kitabu parish priest, Fr. David Kiiza asked believers to use the season for God’s mercy and forgiveness. END
