Third Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Rukia Nakadama has hailed the Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale for prioritizing health services in his Diocese.
In her message delivered by the former Minister of Defense, Hon. Dr. Crispus Kiyonga during a donors’ conference for the construction of a theater at Kasanga Primary Health Care Center in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district yesterday, Rt. Hon. Nakadama said the establishment of Mt. St. Mary’s hospital in Kasese Municipality and the upgrade plans for Kasanga PHC to a health center four, were direction intervention by the Bishop to offload the community of a number of health challenges for a disease free local population. About seventy million shillings was collected of close to 940 million shillings required to complete the theatre project. According to the Vicar General of the Diocese of Kasese, the whole project will cost about 1.2 billion shillings. END.
