Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira Kambale, the Ordinary of the Diocese of Kasese has flagged off the two hundred fifty nine foot pilgrims to Uganda Martyrs Catholic Shrine for the June 3rd Uganda Martyrs celebrations in Namugongo in Wakiso district.
In his message delivered by Rev. Fr. Anyasio Mbusa, the Director for Caritas-Kasese, Bishop Kibira asked the pilgrim, most of them from the Dioceses of Kasese and Butembo-Beni, to pray for the new cathedral construction plans in Kasese.
The Bishop who commended security for their support, asked the pilgrims to pray for successful plans as the Diocese of Kasese prepares to animate next year’s Uganda Martyrs’ celebrations in Namugongo. Rev. Fr. Anyasio speaking……

SP Wilfred Bagenda, the Kasese Division Police Commander, called for calm, adding that he was fully in charge of security of the pilgrims from Kasese till he hands them over to his counterpart in Bunyangabu district. END.
