The Bishop diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira has called on believers in Christ and well-wishers to join hands with him to collect relief items to support mudslide victims in Kasika village in Rukoki Sub County.
Speaking to our reporter in Kasika village last evening after an assessment to the site where 16 lives were lost, six injured and many others displaced, the Director Caritas Kasese Rev. Fr. Fr. Anyasio who last Month replaced Rev. Fr. Remegio Thembo as the Director Caritas-Kasese calls on non-governmental organizations and the district environmental officer to jointly work with Caritas emergency response desk to sensitize the community about tree planting on bare hills as a mitigating factor towards disaster occurancies.
