The Kasese Municipal Education Officer, Mr. Emmy Kayiri has called for unity, hard work, routine monitoring and evaluation of school activities by members of school management committees for improved performance in schools.
Mr. Kayiri who was officiating at the handover of office to the new management committee for Kasese Primary school, asked the newly elected committee to translate the challenges faced by their predecessors into a firm foundation that would put the school to higher heights.

Ms. Jane Kamashamba, a former head teacher of the school and currently a member of the school management committee in charge of academics representing the committee chair, called for continuous support supervision, transparency, hard and team work among the committee members, parents and staff if the school was to excel both in academics and infrastructural development. The head teacher, Mr. Remegious Thembo Ikwera said academic performance at the school had improved as indicated by 2022 PLE results where 20 pupils passed in division ones, 118 in division two and only four candidates made it in division three. Mr. IKwera speaking…
According to our reporter, Mr. Joseph Nzukwa is the new chairperson for the school’s management committee, Deputized by Ms Alice Asiimwe, as Mr. Venesio Kamabu comes in as the treasurer among other members. END
