A woman who allegedly stabbed to death a man over 500 Shillings has been arrested.
The Kitgum District Police Commander Emmy Keith Eyaku says that Filder Acan a resident of Lacen village, in Mucwini Sub County was arrested yesterday (29th.October.2020) following a seven-day hunt.
Acan is alleged to have stabbed Ponsiano Onek, a resident of Juba village for persistently demanding his balance after buying crude alcohol.
The deceased was escorted to his home by his colleagues but returned shortly after claiming that he had forgotten his shoes in the bar, a claim Acan disputed and stabbed him with a kitchen knife on the left side in the abdomen.
Onek was rushed to Mucwini Health Center 3 where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to Eyaku, Acan was arrested after a relative tipped the police about the whereabouts of the suspect.
She is currently detained at Kitgum Central Police Station. Ends.
