Mr. Bamusedee Bernabas Bwambale, the chairperson Kasese district council for older persons has urged the public to embrace tree planting, as one way to solve the various climatic challenges in the district.
Presiding over a half day stakeholders meeting on environmental conservation, organized by Kiwa Heritage held at Verina gardens in Kasese town today, Bamusedee said Kasese has suffered extreme weather conditions ranging from drought, storms and floods.
He attributed the harsh climatic condition to effects of global warming a universal climatic issue that is associated with environmental degradation.
