Yesterdays’s Fresh attacks between cattle keepers and cultivators in Kabukero village, Karusandara sub county in Kasese district has left two people critically injured, the Kasese District Vice Chairperson Hon. Ntabose Gideon Sanyu has said.
Speaking to journalists this afternoon shortly after visiting the scene of crime in Kabukero village, Hon. Ntabose who expressed his disappointment over the attacks asked police and local leaders to bring to book individuals who are reportedly fueling land conflicts in the area.

Ms. Kevin Kabugho a farmer in Kabukero village said that it all started when the cattle keepers allegedly attacked the Vice chairperson for Kabukero village Mr. Kibaya Muthende who was pleading with them to stop grazing animals from his garden.

At Kilembe Mines Hospital in Kasese town, where Mr. Kibaya is admitted in critical condition, his wife Salome Muhindo told our reporter that Kibaya was attacked while harvesting his maize garden in Kabukero village.

The Kasese district Woman councilor Representing Karusandara sub county Hon.Doreen Mbambu, who regretted the attacks, asked government to come up with a lasting solution over land issues in Karusandara sub-county.
