The Kasese Municipal secretary for works and technical services, Hon. John Siriwayo has called for joint efforts against people reportedly picking marrum and stones at the edges of roads under construction in Kasese Municipality.
Speaking to our reporter at the municipal headquarters over the weekend, Hon. Siriwayo said whereas the municipal leadership was doing enough to work on the roads, some selfish local community members were picking stones and murrum and disposing garbage in the drainage systems, an act he said put the community at the risks of potholes and floods at the road surfaces.
