The number of expectant mothers enrolling for antenatal care services has reduced nowadays compared to the past, the in-charge for Kasese Municipal Health centre three in Kasese Municipality Mr. James Mwiruwabo has said.
Mr. Mwiruwabo who was speaking to our reporter this morning at the facility said previously they could receive fifty mothers coming for antenatal services on daily basis but that they are currently receiving not more than fifteen mothers. Mr. Mwiruwabo speaking 1……
He also reported a reduced number of the inflow of patients which he partly attributed to the Presidential Directives in controlling the corona virus disease.
Meanwhile the administrator for St. Pauls health centre four in Kasese Municipality, Rev Wilson Mali decried scarcity of transport means of both health workers and patients in hard to reach communities.

This same challenge is being experienced in Nyakatonzi subcounty where the sub county chairperson Mr. Suzin Bukenya told our reporter that his electorates are not receiving health services in time at Nyakatonzi health centre where health workers are having limited means of transport.
