Mortality rates as a result of non-communicable diseases may be on the raise should the community members fail to empress routine medical checkups, Mr. Selevest Mapoze, the local council three chairperson for Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council has said.
In an interview with Kasese guide radio this week, Mr. Mapoze was concerned diabetes, hypertension and other related diseases were slowly but steadily eating up the community just because members seek for the attention of the medical personnel only when they are sick.
