With about two weeks to the elections, the Electoral Commission is set to issue Voter Location Slips to voters across the country to enable them to locate their respective polling stations on polling day. The Voter Location Slips will be issued for a period of 10 days, from January 3rd to 12 at each Parish/Ward across the country.
The Voter Location slips, according to a press statement released by the Electoral commission chairperson, Justice Joseph Byabakama, is a response by the Electoral Commission to complaints raised in the past elections where some voters reported difficulty in locating their polling stations.
He explains, the Voter location slips bears the particulars of a voter; photograph, names, date of birth, and location that is, the district, constituency, sub-county, parish and polling station. End.
