Acting Brigadier Gen. Cyril Mawa Muhindo, the brain behind the popular Operation Fagiya Uchafu against lawlessness in Kasese district has vowed to liaise with the security agencies to arrest the suspected robbers behind the death of Mr. Gerald Bwambale, the local council two chairman for Kyogha parish in Bwera subcounty.
The late Mr. Gerald is believed to have been shot at and later rushed to Bwera hospital where he succumbed to bullet wounds.
Addressing mourners at the deceased’s ancestral home yesterday, the disappointed Brig. Mawa who is the Uganda’s Defence Attaché to Algeria, vowed to use similar intelligence tactics he applied to arrest Mr. Swaleh and his gang, to bring to book whoever could have been behind the attacks on the late Mr. Gerald.
Mr. Swalleh and his gang members are currently serving a heavy prison sentence after killing the late Amon Mupaghasya, a famous journalist in Kasese and others, mainly in Bukonzo County West where the former robbers operated. Brig. Gen. Mawa speaking……
