President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called on religious leaders to actively join the fight against poverty and unemployment in Uganda by promoting the gospel of commercial agriculture, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and education.
In a message delivered by Vice President Jessica Alupo during the priestly golden jubilee celebration of Bishop Callist Rubaramira of Kabale Diocese held at Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral Grounds yesterday President Museveni emphasized that as the government pushes Ugandans towards achieving upper-middle-income status through agriculture, free education, industrialization, and ICT, religious leaders should sensitize communities on the importance of socio-economic transformation.
