Alcohol and Drug Disorders are increasingly becoming a public Health threat and insecurity in Munkunyu Sub-County Kasese District Kasese guide radio has learnt.
The Officer in charge of Munkunyu Police Post ASP Ashaba Bosco, reveals that most alcohol and drug abuse victims are young and single, thus likely to waste most of their productive stage of life.
Speaking at a one day community Dialogue for Local leaders organized by Kasese youth Link for development held at Kitsutsu 1 in Munkunyu sub-county, ASP Ashaba called for collaborated effort and timely reporting about suspected criminals in the area.

He called for alcohol and drug abuse surveillance system to establish the magnitude of the problem to advise policy development, guide local training and resources allocation decisions among others.
Mr. Charles Bihuku Baita, the LC 1 Chairperson advised sub-county councils to pass by-laws barring the sale and consumption of alcohol of which copies should be given to LC ones for implementation.
