Agri-evolve Uganda ltd has donated Donkeys to coffee farmers in the hard to reach areas to help them transport the crop to the storage centers with a call on the beneficiaries to put the animals to good use.

Ms Grace Babughirana Biira a farmer in Busambu village in Nyakiyumbu subcounty said that the availability of donkeys was a relief to the coffee farmers who were travelling long distances with heavy loads of coffee to the stores. Ms Grace speaking………..
Seventy one years old Mzee Eric Katengo who declined to speak in his local language because he went to school said that the establishment of the free donkeys was a relief to the community who can also use the animals to transport the sick during emergencies now that there are public transport challenges forced by the Corona virus threats.

Earlier, Mr. Brian Muhindo, a boda-boda rider in the area described the existence of the donkeys as timely to the hilly area residents of Kyabayora and Nyamukade trading centers who risked lives to carry heavy loads of coffee. END.
