A Ugandan businessman has reportedly been killed in Rwanda.
Mr. Sidin Muhereza, 35, a resident of Kagogo village in Bigaga parish, Butanda Sub County was allegedly shot on Monday(01 june 2020) by Rwanda Security officers in Sebeya village, Burera district, five kilometres from the Uganda-Rwanda border line.
Mr. Gad Nzabandora, a close relative to the deceased says that the deceased was shot dead at around 7:00 pm while trying to reportedly smuggle six cartons of matchbox into Rwanda.
Mr. John Besigye, the Butanda sub-county LCIII Chairperson, says that efforts of repatriating the body have hit a snag after Rwandan authorities in Burera insisted that they will release the body through the Chanika border in Kisoro district but that all being done to have him buried decently.
