    A prominent Rwenzururu fighter Kyakunukire 86 has died

    A prominent Rwenzururu fighter Regio Masereka Kyakunukire died last evening aged 86.

    Mr. Deus Kule Muthabali, the son to late Kyanukire said his father died from Kasese Hospital in Kasese Municipality.

    Muthabali described his late father as faithful, liberator and hardworking man.

    However, there was disagreement about the burial site of Kyanukire over land dispute in Kilembe sub-county, but Muthabali said the ten hour meeting between his family, the claimant and police resolved to have the body buried in Kilembe sub-county in Kasese district.

    Mr. Jafali Kigutiha, the Chairperson local council one for Basecamp lower in Kasese Municipality, described late Kyakunikire as a historical fighter and an educationist.
