The Ministry of Health yesterday(09th.Novemer.2020) said they had erroneously exaggerated the number of Ugandans who succumbed to Covid-19 on November 5, 2020.

The ministry officials said over the weekend that a total of 14 people had died of the virus, the highest fatality figure to have ever been reported in a single day since March this year when the virus outbreak was confirmed in the country.
However, the ministry’s spokesperson, Mr. Emmanuel Ainebyoona today clarified that the deaths had occurred in four separate days.
Mr. Ainebyoona reminded the population to wear facemasks, observe social distancing guidelines as well wash hands regularly to avoid contracting the deadly virus.
Uganda has recorded 14,403 Covid-19 cases, 132 deaths, and 7,771 recoveries as of yesterday. Ends.
