A 14 year old boy was last evening(29 June 2020) reportedly killed by a crocodile on Lake Edward in Kasese district.
No official comment from police, but the Chairperson LC 3, Katwe-Kabatoro town council Mr. Kananura John bosco Omulhodi has confirmed the information and identified the deceased as Ronald Kule, a son to Verinah Mbambu both residents of Kasanga village in Bwera Sub-County.
Mr. Kananura said the deceased was allegdly attacked as he tried to fetch water from the lake late in the evening.

Mr. Kananura also told our reporter that recently, Mr. Moses Golola a resident of Kakone village in Katwe-Kabatoro town council sustained serious injuries after a similar attack by a crocodile and is currently receiving treatment at Kilembe Mines hospital.
Meanwhile, another resident in the area, Mr. Maleru Kambasu and his wife survived death after their house gutted fire this morning.
Mr. Kananura said the couple with severe bruises and burns is receiving treatement at a private clinic in Katwe-Kabatoro town council.

He used the same platform advising his electrates to stop fetching water from the lake at night and desist from lighting candles in their houses at night for safety.
