Eight out of Nine National Resistance Movement registrars from Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council in Kasese district have reportedly been replaced during the party’s voter register update exercise that commenced yesterday, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
Mr. James Kambale Kapamba, the NRM Registrar for Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council and Geoffrey Syalyambene, the registrar for Rusese Ward among others alleged that whereas they had been trained for registry roles in the party exercise that ends on Sunday, their participation was allegedly halted by Mr. Bosco Bwambale, the NRM Chairperson for Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council over unknown reasons.
Addressing the press last evening, some of the affected NRM official however asked party members to mobilize the rest of the community members to embrace and own the exercise that must not be infiltrated by wrong people. Mr. Kapamba and Syalyampene……
When asked about the matter, Mr. Johnson Kamalhe, the Kasese District NRM Publicity secretary said the changes made in their personnel, were administrative.
Mr. Enos Nyabutundu, a senior party member however reported low turn up of party members for the exercise in the 189 villages in Bukonzo County West, appealing to the leaders and party supporters to double their mobilization efforts. END.
