Joint security forces, comprising the Uganda Police Force and Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) in Kiryandongo district, are actively pursuing three former employees of Tugende Uganda Limited on charges of defrauding clients.
The suspects are Clabert Ayella, Esamu Deogratius, and Stephen Komaketch, all of whom were previously employed by Tugende Uganda Limited.
Despite the termination of their contracts, the trio has allegedly continued to defraud the clients of Tugende in Kiryandongo district and other parts of the country.
Reports suggest that the suspects collaborated to collect money from company clients without the consent of the management.
Additionally, they are accused of confiscating and disappearing with motorcycles and cars from clients without the company’s authorization.
Jonathan Akweteireho, the Kiryandongo Deputy Resident District Commissioner, acknowledges numerous complaints against the suspects.
