Kasese District Council has today(30th.March.2022) received the budget estimates of Revenue and Expenditures for the financial year 2022/2023 worth Ug sh 73, 819, 581,000/=.
The estimates were received and laid by the Honorable council for further scrutiny by the respective standing committees of council for eventual approval.
According to the secretary for finance, planning and administration Hon Ithungu Jetress who presented the estimates, the total budget estimates will be raised from three traditional sources of the local revenue accounting for 5.4%, Central government transfers shall contribute 87.8% while donor disbursements shall bring 6.9% of the total resource envelope for the financial year 2022/2023.

Kasese District will continue budgeting and planning for the financial 2022/2023 under the theme “Localizing Industrialization for Job Creation and shared prosperity”.
The figures presented in the budget are not final since the ministry of finance and other development partners continue to issue updated circulars concerning indicative planning figures.
