Police in Kasese district has warned residents neighboring the National parks to desist from encroachment on these restricted areas.
According to the acting police spokesperson for Rwenzori East, SP Luke Mbusa, the warning follows the increased number of people who flock for poaching, fire wood and other practices.
SP Mbusa who confirmed the arrest of two men identified as Alimosi Baluku and Bakalhania Oregon, residents of Bugoye and Karusandara sub counties respectively warned residents of encroachment saying the suspects will be arraigned in court and judged accordingly.

He reminded the public how risky it is to illegally enter the park saying this exposes one to many risks including dangerous animals.
