A 56 year Old Man reported for stealing Cassava in Kakowa Village, Karambi Sub-County in Kasese District has been arrested.
Mr. Julius Thalhaghana, the Defense Secretary for Kakowa Village confirmed and identified the suspect as Mr.John Lhwingirya, a resident of Bwatsinge Village in Kitholhu Sub-County.
Mr. Julius, said the suspect was arrested this morning at Kithoma trading center after residents of Kathoma in Bikunya Parish became suspicious after seeing a new face heading to Kitholhu carrying a bag full of Cassava beyond his capacity in the wee hours they later alerted authorities in Kithoma to have the man arrested.

The suspect, Mr. John Lhwingirya who is alleged to have stolen cassava from Kisolholho Village had uncoordinated statements by press time.

Local residents spoke to by our reporter described Lhwingirya as a serial thief in the area, calling upon police to expedite investigation and have him prosecuted. END.
