At least fifty youth who graduated in vocational skills, have received startup tools from Goal Uganda.
The Graduates, who acquired skills in motor vehicle mechanics and driving in Kasese district, received the tools yesterday with a call on them to properly utilize the tools.
The beneficiaries have been undergoing a six month training by shalom ventures and supervised by Kasese youth link for development, a non-governmental organization based in Kasese town.
Mr. Ronald Kato, the Executive director Kasese youth link for development, said a total of seventeen girls and thirty nine boys, between 18-35 years from Bulembia division and Munkunyu sub-county received the startup tools.
Kato said his organization decided to fight poverty by providing vocational skills and tools to the vulnerable youth.

Ms. Edita Biira a resident of Munkunyu sub-county who appreciated the Donors for investing in their training, encouraged the youth especially girls to embrace skills development. Ms. Biira speaking….
Mr. Owen Bwambale from Kemihoko cell in Nyamwamba Division said the skills acquired if well utilized would improve their income.

He warned the youth against laziness and alcoholism but engage in skilling and production. END.
