At least 42 villages in Kasese district did not have any applicant to participate in the forthcoming National Housing and Population census slated on 10th. May this year, the Kasese District Senior Planner, Mr. Joseph Isingoma has said.
Mr. Isingoma said 2033 enumerators and 215 supervisors are expected to participate in the exercise both at village and parish levels.
He said the most affected areas are rural without personnel.
Isingoma revealed that the district census committee has directed local council one chairpersons in the respective villages to get suitable indigenous children to participate in the National housing and Population census. Mr. Isingoma speaking…
Kasese District Chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi said census figures play a critical role in guiding planning, policy formulation and program implementation, as well as monitoring development progress in line with National goals and objectives.
