The 3rd Edition of Rwenzori Theluji festival has kicked off today in Kasese District, with planting of over two thousand indigenous and fruit trees.
Rt. Hon. Baritazale Benson Kule, the Deputy Prime Minister of Obusinga Bwa-Rwenzururu flagged off the exercise by planting trees at the Royal tank in Kasese Municipality.
Speaking to the press today, Baritazale who also doubles as the chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Kasese tourism Investors Forum, highlighted the festivals commitment to environmental conservation, particularly through “My tree My theluji, tree planting campaign”.
