Kasese Chief Magistrate’s court has sentenced a 37 year old man to six month and eight days imprisonment at Mubuku Government Prison over allegations of theft.
Court presided over by the grade one magistrate His Worship Michael Kwesige heard that on December 1st.2023 while in Izinga Village in Maliba sub-county Kasese District, Mr.Mathias Baguma was caught red handed in possession of two Banana bunches hidden behind his VIP-latrine he reportedly stole from the garden of a one Ms. Josephine Musoki.
Speaking to Our Reporter shortly after court Ms. Josephine Musoki, commended court for remanding Baguma she said had become a habitual thief in her garden, putting in mind that the months he will spend in prison may change his attitude towards theft.

The area local council one chairperson for Izinga Village, Mr.Muhishya Misaki Bukombi who accompanied the complainant, urged the youth to engage in production than wasting time scheming for theft of petty properties in the village, later accusing, Mr.Mathias for deceiving court that his intention to steal was to cater for his big family.
