A 34-year-old man is said to have died at Mt. St. and Mary’s Hospital in Kasese Municipality hours after reportedly taking suspected rat Poison.
Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region, SP Nelson Tumusiime confirmed that Mr. Asanasio Baluku, a saloon operator in Acholi-quarters in Kasese Municipality but hailing from Kisamba village, Bugoye subcounty in Kasese district, had committed suicide.
Mr. Festo Sunday, a close relative and friend, said the deceased whose reason for committing suicide would be investigated, revealed that the late Mr. Asanasio only asked for God’s forgiveness as he talked restlessly over position he had kept for some time.
