The Directorate of Crime Intelligence has raided shops selling stolen motorcycle spare parts in Katwe and recovered several number plates.
The operations followed the arrest of two suspected thugs; Isaac Kawukyi and Swaibu Ssesimbo, who reportedly staged an illegal roadblock in Nsangi and stole two new motorcycles.
The suspects told police on Wednesday that the motorcycles were sold to shops in Katwe’s central zone, where they had been selling stolen spare parts. END
