The families relocated to Karongo church of Uganda in Rukoki sub-county in Kasese district over houses that were brought down by heavy rains has reached thirty one.
The Member of Parliament for Busongora County South, Hon.Gideon Thembo Mujungu told Kasese Guide Radio last evening shortly after a field visit to the affected families.
Mujungu said the road connecting Bughalitsa-Mpunga to Kilembe has been blocked by debris, on top of three springs, domestic animals and food crops that have been destroyed.
He calls for the intervention of government and her development partners for relief aid to over two hundred people encamped at Karongo COU. Hon. Mujungu one on disaster….
He identified the most affected families as that of Mr.Janickson Kighuliro, Mbusa Christopher Mwereghulhu, John Ndayirahe and Mrs. late Yeremiya Ntabawara among others, but later calling for tree planting and terracing as a mitigating measure.

Ms. Uziari Biira and Oliver of Karongo described their survival as God’s blessing, saying the disaster was unfortunate.
