About 300 local residents of Rwentutu village, Kabirizi parish in Lake Katwe Subcounty in Kasese district have benefited from a free medical camp held at Rwentutu Christian primary school.

The camp funded and facilitated mainly by Canada based medics, was lobbied by Mr. Amos Kambere, the proprietor of the institution and organized by Mr Byron Luboyera, the Director for Rwentutu Christian Primary School and Rwentutu technical institute, in a bid to bring closer quality health care services to the local community.

Speaking to our reporter shortly after the camp, Mr Byron said the free medical clinic codenamed, ‘’the Dream Team Clinic’’, was to benefit both the pupils and the locals, some of whom do not know have the resources for routine medical examination. Mr. Byron speaking…..
Mr. Cleo Mumbahya Mumbere, the area local council one chairperson and Ms Deborah Biira, a resident of Kighenge Village, both beneficiaries of the medical camp, commended the school and the medics for the service they described as a gift to the local community. Ms Debora and Mr. Cleo speaking……
Earlier, Mr. Lovas Maganzi Mumbere, the Head teacher of the school, had revealed that whereas the pupils at the school were to get free testing and medication, the local community members were examined freely but co-funded their treatment. END
