A 30 years old man was yesterday pronounced dead from Bwera Hospital after participating in alcohol drinking competition in Munkunyu sub-county, Kasese district.
No official comment yet from Police and the Hospital Administrator, but the local council three chairperson for Munkunyu sub-county, Mr. Sezi Police Baluku confirmed the information and identified the deceased as Costa Masereka, a resident of Kitsutsu village in Munkunyu sub-county.
Mr. Sezi told our reporter this afternoon that late Costa was rushed to Bwera Hospital on Monday last week at 3.00am after over consumption of Alcohol in a Cinema hall, before he died instantly.

Sezi said the duo, known for previous heavy drinking, allegedly consumed local gin known as “Waragi” competing to see who could consume the most alcohol.
Meanwhile, a 38 years old woman died on spot and her two children critically injured today in Kisolholo one village in Karambi sub-county Kasese district, after an Anthill feel on her.
Hon. Hawa Biira, the Vice chairperson local council three for Karambi sub-county, confirmed and identified the deceased as late Agnes Masika, a resident in the area.
