Three Pupils from Kasese district have won Golden medals after emerging champions of the 2025 Special Needs Education Championship, which took Place in Kabale district.
The Event hosted by the Uganda Primary Schools Sports Association and special needs Education, attracted 4,333 athletes from 171 out of 178 local governments across the country.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio this morning at Muhokya Primary school in Muhokya town council shortly after returning from Kabale, the Kasese district Sports chairperson, Mr. William Muserero, identified the champions as, Joward Kamalha, Naume Ithungu and Surprise Bwambale.

In an interview with the champions, attributed the good performance to teacher’s commitment, descipline and love for sports.

After the games last evening at Kigezi High School playground, William Bwambale, the UPSSA President, called on the government to address the issue of land grabbers targeting sports facilities, particularly stadiums and playgrounds. Mr. Bwambale speaking….
In ordinary games, Terego District emerged as the overall winner in the under-14 category, while Arua City triumphed in the under-12 category and Kasese secured the 26th position. End.
