Meanwhile, three people have reportedly been killed and 22 others critically injured in an accident in Nakasongola District.
The accident which occurred yesterday at Kyankonwa village along Kampala-Gulu highway at around 1:00 pm involved a bus registration number UBE 379Q belonging to Zawadi bus services heading to Kampala and a trailer registration number UAQ 742L /UAQ 130L heading to Gulu.
An eyewitness Samuel Musoke says that the bus rammed into the incoming trailer carrying crates of beer as it was trying to overtake another truck before they all overturned. ASP Isah Ssemwogerere, the Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson says that traffic police officers from Nakasongola Police Station rushed to the scene and transferred the survivors and the bodies to Nakasongola Health Center IV for treatment safe custody respectively.
