It is now 25years since the Allied Democratic Forces-ADF attacked St. John’s the evangelist Minor Seminar Kiburara in Kisinga Sub-County, abducted 19 students and two employees, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
According to their book Titled “When the Devil Tried Our Faith the Seminary Abduction” Rt. Rev. Francis Kibira the ordinary of Kasese described 16th August 1997 as black evening which can’t be forgotten.
In his Homily while presiding over a Memorial Mass at the Seminary Chapel yesterday, the Nsenyi Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Godfrey Sunday Baluku asked the survivors to have hope and try all opportunities in life, saying everything on earth happen for a reason.
He asked the locals to promote peace and unity among communities and ensure not to give room for any conflict to happen, quoting the letter of St. Paul to Corinthians which says the earthly pains are temporary and with time leads to success. Fr. Godfrey on seminarians….
