A speeding Uganda Peoples Defense Forces vehicle has knocked dead two people leaving three critically injured in Nyakasanga two ward, Kasese Municipality.
ASP, Alex Amutuhaire, the OC Traffic Commander, Kasese Central Division, says preliminary findings indicate that the todays incident happened when the speeding Land Cruiser registration number H4DF H4DF 2172 veered-off the road as the driver attempted to dodge a child who was about to cross the road.
ASP Amutuhaire identified the deceased as Linus Biira 7, a primary two Pupil at God blessed orphanage and Nursery school and UPDF officer Private Fred Mawadri attached to Rukoki barracks. ASP Amutuhaire on accident….
ASP Amutuhaire however cautions residents and all road users to be cautious when using roads in built-up areas.
He added that police is still on the ground to gather the actual cause of the accident and details of victims.

Ms. Harriet Buhaka, an aunt to late Linus said the girl was knocked shortly after being chased away for school from the school.
Kagoro Shadad, a health officer at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Kasese Municipality told this Radio that late Linus reached the hospital when she was already dead while the causalities have been admitted on ward. Mr. Shadad on accident……
