By Kyamanduma Patrick,
Nineteen Illegal houses that are constructed at Former Kasese High school in Kasese Municipality risk to be demolished, Kasese Guide radio has learnt.
Speaking to the media shortly after addressing the affected people, the Kasese Municipal Planner Mr. Wilfred Baluku said his decision to stop construction of houses comes after realizing that the owner of Kasese High school has land tittle and it’s registered by Kasese Municipal council as Institutional land.
Mr. Wilfred said he can only accept people to construct after the owner will have applied for change of land use and all those with Plots must first apply for Building Plans before they can erect their houses.
Mr. Wilfred on Demolition…………
He has also directed all those Builders on site to return back before the houses under construction can be demolished.
One of the stakeholders who was on site during ongoing inspection by Kasese Municipal Authority ASP Zephanus Kabiri told affected residents to be serious with the Directives of the physical planner so that the owner for Kasese high school does not turn against them in Future. Mr. Zephanus speaking…………..
Our efforts to get statement from the Proprietor of Former Kasese High school ended in futile as his known contact was not available by press time. END.
