Seventeen Pupils at St. John’s Bukangara Primary school in Nyakiyumbu sub-county in Kasese District have been impregnated this year, Mr. Neriko Kamalha, the school head teacher has reported.
Mr. Kamala, a co-organizer of the community Baraza held at Katoho trading center said there was need for continuous sensitization of the community against child abuse, as well as double efforts into good parenting plans.
He said whereas the number of teen pregnancies is high, only three cases had been reported to police, a situation he blames on parents and guardians who negotiate and shield the suspects. Mr. Kamala speaking…….
