At least 65 houses in Kiganda and Kyarukara wards in Katwe-Kabatooro town council Kasese district have been blown off by heavy wind accompanied by rainfall, leaving 300 people stranded.
Mr. Patrick Baguma, the Local Council one chairperson for Kyarukara A cell and Mr. Henry Robert for Kyarukara B, said four people sustained serious injuries and Properties worth unspecified amount money destroyed.
Speaking to our reporter this afternoon, the LC,s said majority of residents currently in dire need of relief are spending cold nights under trees and in the open due to lack of shelter after losing their buildings to the storm.
