Thousands of Christians in the diocese of Kasese yesterday(02nd.March.2021) thronged our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral grounds to celebrate the way of the Cross, with a call to trust in the blood of Christ and emulate his humbleness for salvation.

Presiding over a preaching during a service during the adoration of the Cross, the Curate for Kasese Cathedral Parish Rev Fr. Pascal Bwambale who described the Cross as a sign of love of God, victory and the beginning of life quickly asked Believers to distance themselves from the act of pride but instead humble themselves as Jesus did.

    Fr. Pascal speaking …….

The MP for Kasese Municipality, Hon Robert Centenary hailed God for enabling Believers to gather and celebrates the way of the cross today unlike last year which didn’t happen due to covid-19 lock down.

The legislator later called on Believers to fully utilize the passion, death and resurrection of Christ for their salvation. Hon. Centenary speaking….

The former Kasese District LC5 aspirant, Mr. Augustine Musema called on believers to work towards forgiving and love for one another as one way for creating peace and harmony. Mr. Musema speaking …..

Some believers narrated some of their reasons to why they joined the way of the cross as to reconcile with other creatures and remembering his passion. Some of the believers speaking …….

However to some senior six candidates at Kasese sec school who joined the way of the cross including Ms Anipher Kabugho, the story was slightly different as they joined to seek God’s interventions for wisdom as they prepare for the remaining exams.  Miss Anipha speaking……..

The way of Cross attracted various dignitary including the Bishop Diocese of Kasese, Rt. Rev. Francis Aquirinus Kibira and Priests among others. END
