The Ripple foundation yesterday(22 may 2020) donated ten tones of Posho and three tones of beans worth forty Million shillings to one thousand households in Bukonzo County west, Kasese district to help the Vulnerable elderly, children and PWDs among others during this lockdown.
The Organization Executive Director Ms Florence Basaliza while launching the donation at Mundongo Primary school in Nyakiyumbu Sub-County said one hundred households per sub-county were to receive ten kilograms of posho and three kilograms of beans in all the seven sub-counties.
In Isango like other areas, Ms Florence, who described the donation as a backup effort to assist the vulnerable appealed to the beneficiaries to properly utilize the relief food that will enable them walk a day with food on table during the lockdown. Ms Florence Speaking;……
Receiving the donation, the LC 3 chairperson Nyakiyumbu Sub-County, Mr. Sunday peter Kakule, said the food relief will help boost in the vulnerable families in the area that are reportedly hit economically due to Covid-19.
