By Barbra Muhindo,
One hundred youth in Nyakasanga II Ward, Nyamwamba Division in Kasese Municipality have been trained in liquid soap making, an initiative aimed at economically empowering them and promoting hygiene in the community.
The training, held today at Nyamwamba Primary School, was sponsored by the Kasese District Vice Chairperson, Hon. Girivazio Monday Bwambale, who is also the NRM mayoral hopeful for Kasese Municipality in the 2026 General Elections.
While addressing the trainees, Hon. Girivazio said he invested in the soap-making project after conducting a community needs assessment.
He emphasized that the goal is to equip the youth with practical skills and knowledge to become financially self-reliant, rather than spending time lamenting about unemployment.
As part of the support, Hon. Girivazio donated four jerrycans of liquid soap to four different groups from Nyamwamba West, Nyamwamba East, Mumbuzi, and Kitooro Cells, serving as a startup kit.
