Ten people have been killed by unknown group in Kamwenge District.
The attack occurred yesterday in Kyabandara Parish, Kamwenge Sub County.
The group attacked locals in a bar at 10 pm hacking some to death and abducting others. They also set ablaze some houses.
Among the dead is the female councilor of Kyanadara Parish only identified as Night.
The identities of the other victims were yet to be established.
Last week the Uganda People’s Defense Forces UPDF killed two suspected ADF rebels and captured their commander within the Kibale Forest National Park, in Kamwenge district. Gen. Felix Kulayigye, the UPDF spokesperson, said that the rebels were among the escapees following the operation SHUJA conducted in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.END.
